SON SHINE 409: ORDERED

He was now used to spending time regularly at the man’s shop till this day when he only waited long enough to buy just what brought him there. He would later hear how armed bandits came after he left that day, shooting and leaving his ally dead!

“For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.” – Ps 31:3 (KJV)

He is guiding you even when not obvious.

Let the Son shine in your heart daily.

SON SHINE 408: UNASHAMED

What brought her was too critical for this opportunity to pass her by. As the only one in a position to do something about her plight tried to attend to one visitor after the other in the crowded room, she moved close, brought out a photograph showing her bare upper body with breast ravaged by disease. Her life was on the line and this otherwise calm and regal looking lady knew that it was no more about respecting tradition but a matter of life and death.

“… and thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.” – Isaiah 49:23 (KJV)

Jesus died and rose to rescue the helpless.

SON SHINE 407: RESCUER

The bus stop was filled with tired legs this night. The fading lights cast shadow on the barely visible faces of men, women and children eager to get home. Then the old man tried to seize his opportunity by crossing the busy road at the earliest opportunity. He collapsed on the tar halfway through as the headlights of the oncoming car revealed its closeness. A woman there sprang to action literally dragging the old man out from harm’s way. There were stronger men nearby who were too busy to bother.

“Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.” – Proverbs 31: 29 (KJV)

That is why she is called sweet mother.

SON SHINE 406: MISSION DELAY

The lift was not working and walking the flight of stairs a few levels up was not an option for the giggling plump girl even though she had a mission to accomplish. Two hours later the machine came alive and she stepped up. She was young enough to walk and saw older ones do the needful but had apparently trained herself not to contemplate whatever resembled hard work even while probably praying daily for the better life.

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40: 30-31 (KJV)

There is no real alternative to the needful.

Let the Son shine in your heart daily.

SON SHINE 405: RESTORED

Even family members – including her husband – treated her like an outcast because of the foul emissions and she had resigned to fate thinking there would never be a solution to the decade’s old dilemma. Then someone familiar with her pains and aware of a solution gave her the link which ended her nightmare. On this day, she was the picture of possibility in the midst of despair and the cynosure within a community in which every good newsmaker is a friend and relation of those who reject them when the going is rough.

“…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” – Hebrews 13: 5 (KJV)

There is a reliable friend who will never abandon you.

Let the Son shine in your heart daily.
