Here is a story for you: Our pastor sometimes gives a story before he delivers the sermon for the day. Here is one of them, though paraphrased.

“Two friends went out to the woods for an adventure. After awhile they got lost. Fear started to mount because they did not know how to get back home. One of them is a Christian so he was certain that God would send someone to look for him.

First Man: There is no way we can get back home since we did not inform anyone before we came out here

Second Man: I am very sure someone will look for me.

First Man: I know that no search party will be sent out to look for us because nobody knows we are lost.

Second Man: Someone will look for me because I am very rich.

First Man: What can your wealth do for you now that you are lost in the woods. The animals will eat you up

Second Man: Have you not heard?  I said that I am very rich. I pay $10,000 every week as tithe. My pastor will look for me.”

I am amused about your use of anecdotes to convey your message, moreso the embellishment with biblical quotations.

I may not be good at quotations but let Jeremiah.29:11 be your maxim. Do not forget Jeremiah 1:10. You must arise and shine. Go to Isaiah 60:1-end.

Thank you for your inspirational mail, straight from the heart. Amazing isn’t it? It is another matter when these issues are the case with His own children.

Just to share a thought from fellowship today–I am still thinking of it. It is the fact that the children of Israel went into the Red Sea under pressure (the army of Pharaoh was right behind them), but they entered the Jordan by their own free will. His calls for us nowadays bear the marks of a willing death, but that is the only way to our spiritual, (and many times, physical) inheritance!!

I don’t seem to understand some games going on around me, especially when it appears certain persons very close to me are involved. Their interest, it seems, is not to assist me. That sort of using one as a ladder thing. This just like you wrote in one of the Son shine write-ups. When those one trusted turns out to be dudes. I have also discovered that maybe for lack of time, the Son Shine messages these days lack the in-depth touch of creativity. For instance the type we have in the guy who walked into an office wacking his mouth with a tooth pick.

Somehow, I’ve been reaching out to people with your messages, and I guess the creativity aspect help to drive the message home. The stories are too brief or too direct now, making them to look dry and strictly religion materials. You must find time for this very calling!

You devote a great period of your time to write scriptures with empirical illustrations to thousands of people and the write ups have really inspired me a great deal. This question is always on my mind; psychologists say at best man uses only 10% of his potential

How can he use 100% or at least 99% without having brain fag or going crazy?

How can he be the very best God created him to be?

Is it thought? prayer? study? meditation? Or, the leading of the spirit?

If it is through thinking? Thinking about what?

Or like different kinds of food,  is it different kinds of activities?

Right people?, right books? right music? right friends? mentors people that would challenge one

Fresh goals? Higher degrees? More money? prayer and fasting?

Dear …,

My family is much better now. Life situations are so different in some aspects, but problems in life are everywhere.

I still can’t really understand, how people can live nearly “in paradise”

and be so sad that it is not possible for them to keep alive. Depression, loneliness and fears are a big problem in our society – maybe, because people have everything they need and don’t know for what their life is useful. She was not alone but I think she felt very lonesome because she chose to live on her own and did not tell us how bad she felt.

So we have a lot to think about at the moment. Money, safety, comfort, all this is not what makes people feel happy.

How can one work with all this and make other people believe the strategies work if one fails in one’s own private life with the dearest people?

Everything in Life makes sense, even if we don’t see it, because we have a short time to live and a limited understanding of the whole.

The lord has truly been merciful to us all.

Thanks for your usual twitter-like reminder of God’s goodness.

How we daily need to be reminded that we are not in full control no matter the situation, for the one who made all things for/by himself is plotting out times and seasons. Indeed the whole world situation speaks of the nearness of his coming.

Enjoy intensified grace and may our Lord fill you with the full knowledge of his will.

Shalom

God loves man so much that:

  1. He created him in His own image
  2. He decision to create man was a joint one
  3. He later realised that man was no good without a helper
  4. Though annoyed with man because of his rebellion, He ultimately gave His only begotten Son to die so that man can return to God’s intended position for man

Man: please think twice and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour before you go to hell. Do not take God for a fool. He will do whatever He has said He will do. Hell is real! The same loving and merciful God, is also a consuming fire! He does not lie. God bless you, as you decide to be on God’s side. Amen.

Let the Son shine in your heart daily…the Son already shined brightly and deeply in her heart – the lifelong intimacy started in her youth when  mourning the death of both parents. She sighted a torn book in her auntie’s shop one day and randomly opening it her eyes immediately feasted on Psalm 51. She read over and over amidst tears even when she couldn’t understand the full import of what she was reading. Ever since she has felt bonded to Him. He is her light and her salvation (Psalm 27)

As I was pondering over certains issues in my life, some few minutes ago, The Lord ministered to me through Bro Nosa Owens-Ibie  –  “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” – Ecclesiastes 9: 11 (KJV)

I heard HIm clearly. Hallelujah!. He is waiting for His time. He wants my obedience to be FULL. Is God asking you to share something? Go ahead and share, for you never know how this will fulfil God’s purpose in the life of someone. Thank God for Bro Nosa and team in https://son-shine.net/

Our steps are ordered of the lord. During the bombing of London underground, I should have been underground at work in London. Owing to divine intervention however I used the bus and I was far away in Chessignton by the time the bombs started going off. My sister in law was distraught because she was certain I was underground as I should have been. I praise God for His mighty deliverances in our life. We shall fulfil the number of our days In Jesus Name, Amen
We are delivered from wicked and unreasonable males and females. Only goodness and mercy and favour plus prosperity follows us In Jesus Name. Your inspirational writings have greatly enriched my life. You are blessed.

This is to express my joy that I enjoyed your write-ups and this latest one in particular. The Lord will be with you and find ways for us in every difficult situation.

Your latest write-up struck me as relevant to Rev Mrs Osusu’s case:

“There was neither help in sight that night nor the possibility of a solution before the appointment …  But in a most unusual twist … she found help… ”
“…I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”  – Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

Yes the devil never gives anything for free, the world might be on the tips of your finger as a result of the wealth you are lavishing but the irony here, is that one can never invest in something good with the gift given to you by the devil, rather, one will realize much later that he or she has wasted time under the luxury of the devil.God’s gift to humanity is free, a gift that one will enjoy without doubt if He will demand for something in return, and it is up to you as an individual to decide on how you want to live  your life but it will be of great joy to God and man if you live a life free of sin and use the gift given to you to touch the world positively.

Jesus came to make the world better. While giving His valedictory speech in John 13:34-35- “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” ESV. People love for selfish reasons! Am I a loving person? Forgive and reconcile with someone who has offended you.
Prayer Point: Father, destroy the rule of self interest in me. Help me to embrace Your standard of love in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for this angle to home training. Growing up we were taught never to laugh, smile or make gesture when any pysically challenged person was passing or around. It was often said one could catch the sickness or something bad would happen to those who mock deformity. And as soon as we see such, we applied caution. To help or maintain neutral face or action. Today home training has gone to the winds. We must insist in “Give me that old time religion!”

Any other solution outside God is extremely dangerous. The ultimate solution is Jesus no matter the circumstances even in the most trying and seemingly hopeless situation. Good and Insightful piece. THE TRIAL OF FAITH: We are indeed in the END times. The time to hear horrendous news. Shocking to the bone marrow! Miracles of mouth opening dimensions. Only a solid foundation in CHRIST can help in distinguishing which is godly and which is mere magic. When darkness covers the heart only the sensitive in CHRIST will see the RAYS of light to distinguish the way of the CROSS and that of PERDITION. As we await HIS COMING, there will be more drama to lure the ELECTS even to the DEN of DAMNATION. LET YOUR ANTENNA be up and working. PICK the SIGNALS correctly.

taking heed and repentance: identifying an area causing collosal or even meagre damage and loss, Go To THE CURE, and determine by HIS Grace to never fall

come by again, HE would as always, gallantly stop them.

It’s indeed not the will of God for any his children to be misled. It’s one of the very reasons every child of God has to be filled with the Holy Spirit and also acknowledge the In working of God’s spirit in us to prepare us and build us up into the fullness of God’s plan and purpose for us in accordance to Ephesians 2:22.
It is therefore very important that as a child of God we must be led by the Holy Spirit, trusting Him to guide us into Godliness and in the fullness of life itself.
Romans 8:14 declares, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”  It is crystal clear that God’s will for His children is to be led by His Holy Spirit so that we would not be misled into the wrong path by human ideas or philosophy.  “SONSHINE”   has indeed been a blessing to me.

As I come back from church this Sunday morning June 26th 2016 and going through my email I come across “Son Shine”: Barricade: Isaiah 54:15 (KJV) and read also 54:17 and when going back to the “The story of Son Shine” I stumbled across one medical Doctor from the Democratic Republic of the Congo who was the first to donate voluntarily to make herald “this good news”. And I recognized that Medical Doctor and thought of few things:

  1. Luke 17:10( KJV): Unprofitable servants and Our Father in Mathew 6:10: May Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven

2.The parable of the mustard seed: The Kingdom of God will grow and nobody will ever stop it

  1. And your fidelity: Ten years have passed since 2006 when we met.
  2. Tears come into my eyes just to think how a small “good” seed could go a long way and the verse in Galatians 6: 7(KJV): whatever you sow it is what you will reap.
  3. I jumped to my tablet to go through the bible and was thinking that nobody has an excuse nowadays not to access God’s Word. It is everywhere from parchment in ancient times to satellites devices today, in offices, papers, electronically…
  4. What else… I remembered the first mailing list.
  5. May God bless you and His work

We really are just meant to mind our business and do what we have been called to do, Gossips don’t know where they are headed. This also comes down to wisdom, which is doing the right thing at the right time. The Sunday school teacher was kept there for a purpose but instead she turned from the goal. The central truth of this article resonates with a lesson of life I have learnt. I have learnt to by the Grace of GOD and Strength from HIS Infallibility do the needful whatever that may be, regardless of whether I or on lookers fully understand what it is, what others think of it, how popular it is, the price or cost, as long as the line of action is according to GOD’S Will. In the end, when the profits accrue from the generosity of HIS Grace, the doubt and ego from myself and the small talk (or even large talk) from others will be silenced and then proclaim how great my GOD is.

Sometimes I think popular culture is so retarded. The devil influences people to go in a direction that even right thinking toddlers would logically find disturbing. Spending huge amount of money to buy designers and brands to uncover your nakedness, deface your skin and voluntarily and intentionally inflict pain and limitations on yourself, call yourself belittling names and the list of sick things go on.

Other times I think people are too strict, stagnant or stiff in their views of the ever evolving world.

Either ways I think anything and everything we do as creations of GOD given life by HIS Breath should give GOD Glory – correcting in love or modest and decent appearance.

I feel the only chance for persecution to succeed is to smite hard and swiftly. If you cannot strike, do not threaten. Menacing words only give courage. The rulers betrayed their hesitation when the end of their solemn conclave was but to ‘straitly threaten’; and less heroic confessors than Peter and John would have disregarded the prohibition as mere wind. None the less the attitude of these two Galilean fishermen is noble and singular, when their previous cowardice is remembered. This first collision with civil authority gives, as has been already noticed, the main lines on which the relations of the Church to hostile powers have proceeded. Thanks for the motivational message God bless you and your family. .

I find myself a better Christian at school and I’m sure it is because the atmosphere is saturated with his presence. I am experiencing Him like never before and I have this hunger and thirst for His word which is what I have been praying for but, do you think it is normal to feel some sort of fearfulness? Despite my knowledge that I have vivctory over the darkness, I still fear that I may fail him. Perhaps I still need to learn how to totally depend on Him even for my spiritual walk…..

The flight  was delayed by two hours for what the airport ground staffs called “operational reasons.’ Eventually we were air borne for a flight that was to last 30 minutes. Moments before landing, the plane shook violently as it went through turbulent weather. The pilot tried to reassure fray nerves. But as the plane encountered another stream of turbulent weather, a church immediately started in the cabin. Passengers were rebuking and destroying and casting away the works of the enemy. People were pleading the Blood of Jesus against this satanic attack. Then there was calm and moments later the pilot’s voice came on again, this time informing us that we cannot land because of “gusty winds blowing around the airport tarmacy.” He then redirected the plane to where we landed safely to the rapturous shout of “praise the Lord” from passengers in the cabin.

“… and they said one to another, what manner of man is this: for He commanded even the winds and water, and they obey Him.”  –  Luke 8 v 25.

God has control over all forces, be they in the air, sea or land. All powers belong to Him. Let the Son shine in your heart daily.

AND THANKS FOR THE INSPIRATION OF SON SHINE.

I wanted to ask if it is possible that these false apostles be converted while fellowshipping with genuine apostles but then I remembered Simon the Sorcerer who got converted in Acts but still thought he could buy the Holy Spirit with money. In 1992, while working in a coy, I had a pressing desire to change my job. One week after the surge of the desire, I saw a newspaper advert. A voice spoke within me: “This is your job”. I applied. I was later invited for an interview. Three weeks later, the job became mine; even without knowing anybody in the coy.  God  gave me the job. In 1994, the coy transferred me to Lagos; which was also the answer to the prayer I made in 1993, to leave the state. God really directs the paths of His children.

Unlike the other mails I get I think I understand this one. Sometimes we humans want a particular job, school, spouse, etc and we ignore God’s voice. Sometimes the voice gets to tell us what we do not want to hear or go for things we do not like or things we pay little or no attention to. But that is the voice of the Lord. I can remember when I had to leave a University for another school,I hated the fact that my mum wanted me to leave a private school to another, that voice kept saying … university. I struggled with it for some time. Thank God I listened eventually. The man that was working on my admission duped my parents. If I had not listened I would probably still be at home and would have given up on school.
Most times God’s own choice may seem off but eventually we love it because at the end it is usually wonderful.

Many churches now treat their church members based on how they look, how they come to church what they wear what they carry. This is absolutely wrong as God dislikes this. Jesus is the Word of God when God speaks Jesus is there. When God forms his thoughts Jesus is there. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. This is the image in which we were made, the dirt God formed is just a vessel to house the image When you speak are the words that come out not part of you, you cannot separate you from your words. And that reminds me of that great biblical injunction:  teach us to number our days!  Also I am reminded of an experience I called “The Tag”. About three weeks ago, along with a few people, we had to usher a woman to the morgue after breaking the news of the death of her husband. The husband could only be identified with a paper tape bearing his name and pasted on his forehead. He was not resplendent in that wrapper on the cold metal stretcher.

This passage and story talks about patience. In all things we must be patient because patience is a virtue

The traffic gridlock appeared unfixable, as there was no sign of any space for movement time started going fast. Although the Other route didn’t hold better movement, some people went for it making quick turns to a road no one knew about Within minutes however, a few cars came out from the other lane, with that some sanity, was restored till cars started moving. At the junction, a little hope turned into a lot. The traffic reduced. The movement started in minutes, the road ahead became free. The driver didn’t follow the other people that opted to go through the unknown road he didn’t know when it would be free but he was patient and then God made a way where some thought a way couldn’t come through. The traffic stopped and he was free to go.

Truly there is nothing compared to living an eternal life. Sometimes we are offered amazing deals/opportunities but then the question is are those opportunities of God? After this what happens next?
It is very good when one listens to God and then allow him to take help, he never fails.

Thank you for all your postings. Sometime in the morning, I had checked to see if the latest had come in (it’s now in), as it wasn’t then, I fell back on three of the closer previous ones, I had once read.

I had particularly been touched by the last but one sentence of the last paragraph of the 740 series and dwelt on it again, as for the last line it will always remain permanently in my heart until God completes

His work of transformation in me. The truth of that statement is obvious. Once we/I do my own part by going higher with God, I become less weighed down by the things below. It again reminded me of an earlier one which touched me too – when we know that it is God who is in real control that will be the beginning of our/my humility. From there I proceeded to the paragraph before it, appreciating once more those two verses of the Psalmist. I ascended to the one before it and It downed on me how the darkest situation or circumstance could be simply changed by the Lord Our God into a clear, smooth one all the way, just by looking up to Him – The Lord, the Hill , the maker of heaven and earth ,the only One from whom our help comes. Though unplanned, this upward movement and leading, ended up connecting me with your title, UP, making it significant. Our God has much for us His people.

This stretches the reality of the saying “All that glitters is not Gold”. Only the individual wearing the shoe knows where it pinches. Social media leaves this generation craving the things of the world based on the extravagant lifestyle displayed on the Internet, thereby serving as a veil over the void or turmoil people face (Mark 8:36). We care more about money, fame, glory, recognition, physical gratification and a myriad of other things than we do about enlightenment, spirituality and peace in our lives. Yet, when we are satiated with the good things of life we often find ourselves feeling empty. There seems to be a void. Growing up I was made to realize that material things cannot fill up the void in a person’s life. Only a connection to God can provide ultimate peace. I thank God for his faithfulness in my life. I pray that our successes shall not only be external but internal in Jesus name. Amen

These are great words of thoughts and lessons: that the household ‘head’ becomes ‘late’ and the superstructure becomes obsolete; the 25- storey Cocoa house(the first skyscraper and tallest superstructure in Africa, and later 32-storey ‘NITEL’ (NET) building will invariably and eventually come down to become dust.
The Son should shine in our hearts.

Thank you so much. ‘There is wisdom in sometimes choosing to be foolish’ Indeed and indeed ooo!!! Actually, only wise people know when to choose to be foolish – wise choice of foolishness is actually BIG wisdom.

1st Sam. 21:13. So David changed his behaviour before them and acted like he was crazy in their presence. Remain richly blessed in Jesus Mighty Name.

Very important message indeed. I learnt that one should endeavour to not be among the boastful and proud. It is better to be humble and work hard, as the reward for hard work and humility is far greater than that of those who look down on people and believe that they are far superior to others.

SON SHINE 846 NEST

God bless you. This reminds me of an experience my mum shared with me. she said she was observing as the birds were going to pick a strand of grass for weaving. A bird stood behind and was busy stealing from the ones others have been gathering.Llater on, one of them noticed that the one stealing has not been going to pick grass, but kept on weaving, so the one who noticed this pretended to have followed the birds going to pick grass but turned halfway and was looking at the one that has been staying behind to confirm its instinct. and behold it was true. With aggression the bird went on fighting the one that has been stealing and when the other birds came, they destroyed the bird’s nest, and the bird started rebuilding again. Nothing indeed was going to stop the fowl of the air.
