His advisers were definite on the hopelessness of any attempt to challenge the finality of his failed visa application, pointing out that only a special group of lawyers had the capacity to waddle through the tricky maze of getting another hearing. He refused their report, opting to challenge the system with a letter written by him. It worked. He got a hearing and his entire family got visas for their delayed holiday.
