We were still reeling from the shock of meeting a corpse rather than the man who fought a battle to stay alive for months till this Christmas evening. As a father he had sacrificed a lot to get us that far and we were still unclear about the next steps. Then we stepped out of the room where they lay him, saw the doctor who expressed sympathy at the unfortunate loss and in a subdued voice asked how we intended to settle the hospital bill!

?Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.? ? John 16: 20 (KJV)

Jesus came to turn your sorrow to joy,
Let the Son shine in your heart daily.
