The class was brimming with pupils, many of them on the floor. As a teacher explained the subject, her colleagues attended to other details, just as some pupils kept chatting as if they were elsewhere. In the absence of adequate classrooms, many of the pupils who had no business sitting for that subject but had nowhere to go had to listen to ideas which only confused them the more.
