On both sides were the scars of war, with many structures consumed by the bitterness of the battles over land matters. As I crossed the only road which separated them to make a purchase the people looked the same to me. I saw human beings caught in the daily struggle to survive the tide. There was enough land on the outskirts for anyone interested to build whatever they wanted.
