The armed robbers stripped all pedestrians of cash in this dawn raid forcing them all to sit on the floor till they got to him as he made his way to take borrowed cash to a traveller who volunteered to buy him a valuable. When they asked him to sit, he rebuffed the order stating that he was not a candidate for intimidation threatening simultaneously to turn the robbers to snakes. The leader of the robbers discomfited by their unusual guest and eager to live to reap his loot asked his subordinate to allow the man to go with another would-be victim who quickly latched to the new champion as if they were companions before then.
