It was a literary feast as we raced past handbills, posters, flexi-banners and billboards – some of them shredded by the elements – along the byways and highways of this serene rural axis. The young, middle-aged and elderly had their share of attention on the message trail. The headers ranged from ?Gone?, ?Glorious exit of a legend?, ?Exit of a Legend?, ?Painful Exit?, ?Call to Glory?, ?Celebration of Life? to ?Goodnight to a Great Achiever?. Each case was a display of emotion and knowledge of the finite understanding of mortal man.
