The two boys wearing earrings with one of them in shorts and socks, a backpack and rubber slippers, walked towards the airport departure hall screening point with their sober mother who had no earring and had a simple gown on in tow. She was seeing off two children she apparently still loved despite the unintended influence of the land of their sojourn.
