As the people streamed to the destination of worship, the sellers milled along the sideways even as canopies dotted the landscape with various items for sale and blaring gospel music and messages competing for attention and patronage. Some obviously came in their quest to know God, some to be rescued from their problems, some to meet the need of others and some probably strictly for business and not quite the transformative encounter with the God who by his favour can cause one not to labour in vain.

?And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves?And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.? ? Matthew 21:12-13 (KJV)

Just why are you in church?
Let the Son shine in your heart daily.
