The first usher attempted to carry his Bible, but he politely declined the offer. He had turned down two other offers by the time he got to his seat. Although they were trying to be respectful, he wondered if anyone could help him in the presence of the One he was only still trying to know or temporarily separate him from a Book he wished he could do more to study its treasured secrets daily.

“Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 8:38-39 (New Century Bible)    

There are no personal assistants – in His presence
