His fatherland was devastated by war, and he was trying to explain how he escaped thousands of kilometres away. As the conversation gathered pace on this flight, the man told of how he escaped the doom a year after the bullets flew with abandon. He was now a gainfully employed refugee in a land he probably never knew he would ever find himself.
