SON SHINE 710: JUNCTION

The traffic gridlock appeared irresolvable, as there was no sign of any movement – in minutes that looked like hours. Although the alternative route didn’t hold better prospects, some motorists opted for it, making quick turns to the unknown. Within minutes however, a few cars emerged from the opposite lane, with the lone warden managing some sanity, till the stuck cars started moving. At the junction, the flicker of hope turned into a full beam, after a short delay occasioned by the traffic light. The hopelessness was over in minutes: the road ahead was free.

A junction is only the beginning of another road
