SON SHINE 826: LURKING

It appeared to have bided its time, as it slithered with pace towards the connecting door which was opening. It took the alertness of the man who had instinctively looked down, to notice the tiny snake. He stamped hard, immediately killing it, and preventing its disappearance into the many nooks and crannies, with enough sanctuary for the growth of a nightmare. How it came in despite the many safeguards, was a mystery only storytellers can guess. A man without a clue about what he hosted, aborted the thousand possibilities, of a creature with only three real objectives.
