 As he complained about being asked to return to check in three hours later, he got an option to join the first flight – just minutes from take-off. A baggage handler rushed with his box to the screening point, while the check-in clerk took his handbag, scaling the escalator, to request speedy clearance with the security. The flight landed 14 minutes before the initial take-off time of his scheduled flight – which was postponed the day before. The same airline had, days earlier, made him pay more than the initial fare, following a booking error – due to a glitch.
