SON SHINE 856: SCAMPER

The build-up suddenly worsened this morning traffic, till pedestrians’ – right ahead, started turning back, meandering between oncoming cars, and heading nowhere in particular. A stampede ensued, with a petrol station offering space for a flurry of manoeuvres, and prayers. As shots rang out, the unease heightened. Less than 40 minutes later, the gangsters had melted, ending the daily struggles of a man who left home for work – for the last time.
