The sting of the chemical – at its inadvertent initial spray, was enough signal to evacuate quickly. Hours later, the only sign of effect was a lone dead cockroach. Before lights out, two more crept out of crevices, to give up. By morning, there were many more, surrendering to the chemical attack that ended their daily feast. It however, took 96 hours, for two tough ones to openly succumb.
