She had stunning looks and was razor smart, but lived as if unaware of what God had gifted her with. Her commitment to the work of God had apparently drained her of an ego which could have come naturally. But health issues were the major concern. Sometimes it appeared that was the check to stop her from going overboard, as she depended on the one who formed her, to sustain a life she enjoyed with a passion.

“…even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.” –  2 Corinthians 12:7 (New Living Translation Bible)    

There is no life without a “But”
