A car crammed with some 10 enthusiasts did a couple of weaves on this road with many bumps. The villagers came alive in expectation of the man in the saddle, some holding handbills, others mouthing slogans. Even children too young to understand the nuances, joined the chatter, grateful for the distraction offered from their daily routine of hoping against hope.
