Although he had issues embracing the whole truth about the need to be born again he was resolute on what he would never do. He watched those less endowed but willing to belong climb the ladder rapidly, preferring the difficulty of remaining and struggling for years on the side-line to celebrating juicy positions from the influential ones who settled matters in the kingdom of darkness. They kept making him offers to join their cult in order to get the breakthrough they thought he obviously needed.
