As the rains pounded the roof and power supply went off this kitchen session, the flash of lightning tore through the window and in less than a second hit the voltage stabilizer working with the refrigerator triggering a spark. Before then lightning was a matter for fairy tales. On this day, the reality of the supernatural registered with a force. If it caused a spark in an appliance, it could well have incinerated any human being. It became a moment of instant humility before the only superpower there is.
