Life behind the walls was a routine of defined tasks with inmates consigned to what to outsiders was one huge mystery. But within was a cast of flesh and blood who tried to live a normal life with occasional encounters showing how friendly they could be. There was a part of them that engaged with humanity. The high walls only blocked a view; it did not stop their heartbeat.

There is substance beyond what you think or see
