He was recalling his two years in one of the hip congregations in the town, where thousands of worshippers, branded by a kaleidoscope of colours, cars and high fashion, jostle for space to be part of exciting worship and regular sermons on love. The church was recommended as the place to be, but the programmes, speakers, messages and testimonies have done little to warm the heart of this lonely sheep from another country.
