As the aircraft nosed its way through the cloudy skies, the earth below just faded into nothingness along the stretch of undulating formation beyond the horizon while initial glimpses of the colours beneath just disappeared. But it was a different picture upwards as the blue skies maintained some presence. It was impossible to look down but there was hope in the skies.
