SON SHINE 725: SUBSTITUTED

His shirt fluttered with the wind, as his enthusiasm to fill the gap, saw him in the thick of action, as the traffic threatened to spiral out of control. The traffic officials had in the heat of work taken their leave from the roundabout, and sought comfort behind one of their official vehicles, with some foliage shielding them from open view. Had the volunteer not decided to fill the void when those paid to do the job had other priorities, it would have been chaotic, really chaotic.

“‎And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.” –  1 Samuel 16:1 (King James Bible)
