Her struggles made her mature early, but she never forgot a favour, and was ever eager to appreciate benefactors. It often took a call, seeking the next available opportunity to deliver a tailor-made gift. As she called to announce plans to deliver the gift this time, and was asked, she confessed that she was still searching for a job. She later delivered the gift, and received a letter of appointment. Her need was met, even before she started wondering where to turn.

“A gift does wonders; it will bring you before men of importance!” Proverbs 18:16 (The Living Bible)
