SON SHINE 1088: PASSPORT

The green ‘wedding passport’ made sense when the stern-faced security insisted it was the first requirement to enter the compound. Each guest had to then identify their names on a hanging screen, before facing a panel of two apparently trained unsmiling ladies, one of them confirming eligibility for attendance on a register, while the other tagged each cleared guest with a brown wristband. The arrangement was tight enough to ensure that no trespasser partook of the goodies.
