The boy and the dog were the only indication of life on the deserted streets. It was unusual at a time of the day known for its bustle, but she had no clue that the principalities were on the prowl, till the question of the stranger prompted some responses, and a retreat from the danger zone. It later became apparent that God sent an angel to halt her walk to a destination she would never have returned from.
