She held the dream in her frail hands. Years of anticipation had finally paid off, but the vigour of prayer sessions and declarations of faith, had dovetailed into the inexpressible. The baby, unaware of the longings and pressures before his birth, continued the sleep of innocence. She would have wished it otherwise, but it turned out that she waited just long enough to be a grandmother.
