She queued behind her husband, with an outlook apparently conditioned by years of having seen it all. They were calm, stoically calm. As they inched their way towards the immigration counter, the sophistication and fashion sense of the matriarch, with her ornaments of gold of notable carat, spoke about a flashier life once lived. The flab of her foreskin blended somewhat with her disinterest in all around her. With no grounds to cover, and a capacity to use money for whatever it can do, including flying the world, her interest appeared now to be what money cannot buy.

“Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 2:11 (King James Bible)
