It was fairly dark when the three of us got to the now lonely road in search of a taxi. As we stood by the speed breaker, one of us flagged an oncoming car, hopeful. As the car got closer, it suddenly accelerated, literarily flying over the bump. For him, we reasoned, it must have been a close shave with men of the underworld.
