Her recommendation as the right fit for the job, was enough to end the
search. As the neighbourhood model, her disarming courtesy and care,
was a major attraction. In church, she was the pastor’s delight,
always available for the work of the Lord. But the new job revealed
her inner core, showing her as the selfish, disobedient lover of good
gifts, who occasionally stole and took away household items without
permission. Her scripture-backed plea for mercy was not enough – on
the day of reckoning.

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan
himself is transformed into an angel of light.” – 2 Corinthians
