He collected it without question, enjoyed the meal, handed over the
empty plates to a guard nearby, and drove off when his boss showed-up.
The emissary had been instructed to take the meal to the driver by the
gate, and thinking the first person behind the wheels he saw was the
one, handed it over. It was when the employer wanted to leave – after
a long stay, that the case of mistaken identity was discovered. The
inadvertent beneficiary was by then probably sharing his testimony
somewhere, about the wonderful neighbourhood and stranger, who fed him
without ever knowing him.
