The officer, alerted by his colleague of the prohibited item spotted by the scanner, told the passenger he had to check it in at the counter. Unwilling to go through that process, the man spoke of the
need to catch the flight, how harmless the item was, and noticing the name on the tag, used their dialect to remind of a common ancestry.

She let him off at this last baggage check, releasing him to dash into the departure lounge – to join others who had no idea they had to travel with a mobile danger.
