SON SHINE 691: DEVIOUS
His conviction that the man held the key to the job he desperately needed, made him a regular caller. The well-connected man would later give him a sealed note to a potential employer, which he enthusiastically delivered. The message was, ironically, a request to the receiver not to help this jobless relative. The young man had become a nuisance to be got rid of.
“And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.” 2 Samuel 11:14-15 (King James Version)
Hope in an enemy is an investment in futility
Let the Son shine in your heart daily.
