The driver flashed and honked while we waved frantically, simultaneously pointing to the underneath of the car just ahead which was leaking petrol from a spot and risked going up in flames. We got their attention but rather than stop to find out, the car which was well past mid-life, sped off and maintained a safe distance till it disappeared. We were trying to save their lives, but they were determined not to be victims of a ?gang?.
