SON SHINE 801: BARRIER

As the light green snake slithered on the rough edges of the aging wall, it stopped under the window sill, peering into a room it could have disappeared into – for unpleasant surprises. It was amazing how it managed to creep its way – from the greenery below, to this height. Now, only the fragile but fully covered netting, separated the serpent from a potential victim. When it became obvious that it had laboured in vain, the snake beat a retreat, seeking its opportunity in any house where a wide enough hole into the apartment, would be the nemesis of its occupant.
