SON SHINE 854: ICING

The clear morning sun brightened the formation – which in its purity, appeared as icing rolled up in amoebic balls. From the horizon, the sky with its carpet formation was tiled, melting into a patch of dreamy blue, which appeared to merge with the spread below. As patches of the ashy, punctuated the iconic stretch of crystal beauty, nature shone in manifold innocence, distorted as the aircraft which had commenced its descent, embraced a smoky version of the ethereal. Next was the variegated sprinkling of coloured roofing, surrounded by the rust and wear of houses packed into seemingly airless spaces. Green lawns just around the runway, provided a breather from the picture of the troubles of the earth and its people.

“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:2 (King James Bible)    

The more earthly it is, the more distressing it gets
