SON SHINE 923: GECKO

 The steep slippery aluminium edges, made this flight of its life impossible. Its tiny frame assured speed, but as the unwanted presence appeared with threatening possibilities, the gecko dashed from one side of the crucible to the next, only to slip back to the base. As the assumed source of threat used a broomstick to aid its escape, the lower length of its tail severed, with the body later flung to a surface, where the nocturnal lizard, dazed by its sudden fortune, waited to be sure, only to scurry away to tells its elders that miracles still happen.
