The silvery organ pipes, settled on the polished wooden rafter, in a design, intricate enough to show the artiste’s attention to details. The finishing of the woodwork, complemented other pieces of coordinated imagination. The cross hung, staring down on congregants, surrounded by overhanging chandeliers, as expensive as the variegated marble works that wrote a story of class; and the art treasures that were the windows. It was cool in there, and the piano-laced sedating choruses which wafted through, completed the story of the church with the smooth interlocking exterior.

“And he … did shew to me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven from God, having the glory of God, and her light [is] like a stone most precious, as a jasper stone clear as crystal.” – Revelation 21:10-11 (Young’s Literal Translation Bible)
