SON SHINE 401: LIGHT BEARER

The well-dressed gentleman alighted from a bus and spat on the clean floor of the petrol station as vehicles queued for fuel. A commercial motorcyclist damned the silence of other onlookers and dared the offender insisting that he must clear the mess. When the man found that the motorcyclist was unrelenting and threatening to roughen him up, he swallowed his pride and stylishly undid what he had done.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” – Romans 6: 1-2 (KJV)

SON SHINE 388: EXCESS LUGGAGE

The only signs as we left town in the hope of returning in the evening were the gatherings on the highway. Forty minutes later the sleepy town had exploded in an orgy of mindless violence. It was four days later before my bag of necessities could be retrieved. Those were days when just a shirt and trouser served me for the whole period.  The necessities were not quite as necessary as they appeared while preparing for the trip.

“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” – Luke 10: 42 (KJV)

There are many things you can do without.

Let the Son shine in your heart daily.
