He was under pressure from his extended family to have more children till he convened a meeting to resolve the matter. He announced that he was willing to accede to their request on the condition that they establish a one million naira endowment to assure not just the education of those to be born but the quality of schools he wanted his children to attend then. That was the end of their agitation.
