SON SHINE 764: SENTRY

He was in the midst of foes, with a work environment, and paraphernalia that would have scared the untrained. As he calmly screened the approaching and departing, the risks were obvious. But this was about the call of duty, and his body language spoke of a steely resolve to survive the odds, and confront his fears and unpredictable enemies. Although barely out of his teen years, he was in this race to win.

“And when the Philistine, taking note, saw David, he had a poor opinion of him: for he was only a boy, red-haired and good-looking.” 1 Samuel 17:42 (Bible in Basic English)

Confronting the enemy is not always optional
